Kindergarten Information

We understand that starting school is a very exciting time in both a parent's and a child's life.  It is also a time when there are many new things to get used to and lots of questions about how things work.  We hope to answer some of the many questions you might have about the transportation of your child to and from school.

Eligibility

Kindergarten student are eligible for transportation when the walking distance of the student's residence to their home school is 400 metres or greater.  The distance for eligibilty increases as students progress on to secondary school.

Bus Stop Locations

One of the most important safety practices that STSTB follows is that students can only have one pick up and/or drop off location.  The pick up location may be different from the drop off address but it must be consistent five days a week.  The reasons are safety and simplicity; consistency is the key to safe student transportation programs.
